Ballantine Residence
Neutral Bay
This Spruson Street home in Neutral Bay was our family home before we moved to America. Rather than undertaking a full remodel, I focused on the power of decoration: soft furnishings, art, considered furniture placement and thoughtful details.
A custom hand-forged wrought iron gate that I designed became a defining feature, complementing the home's heritage architecture. Patterned wallpapers, layered textiles and collected pieces brought warmth and personality to the living spaces, while the sunroom opened onto the garden and pool.
It was a reminder that transformation does not always require construction. When done with intention, decoration can profoundly shift how a home feels and lives.
